Frequently Asked Questions

When should I RSVP, and how?

Please let us know if you'll be joining us by mailing back the reply card included in your invitation by May 1st.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 PM, so we kindly ask guests to arrive 20 to 30 minutes early to allow time for parking, seating, and settling in. Please keep in mind that our wedding coincides with CMA Fest in downtown Nashville, which may cause heavier traffic than usual. We recommend planning extra travel time so you don’t miss a moment of the celebration!

Where should I park?

Please allow a few extra minutes to find parking before the ceremony begins. Guest parking is available free of charge in the lot directly behind the Cathedral (Upper Lot), as well as on the first level of the Vanderbilt parking structure located across the alley (First Level Alley-Side). These areas are designated specifically for Cathedral guests. Please note that the Terrace Place Lot (Lower Lot) across the street is a paid lot and is not included in the complimentary guest parking.

Why is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Our wedding ceremony is taking place in a Catholic church, which typically offers limited time slots for weddings. Because of this, there’s a bit of a break before the reception begins (often lovingly referred to as the “Catholic gap”). We hope you’ll use this time to relax, grab a drink, explore the area, or head back to your hotel to freshen up before the celebration continues! If you’re looking for ideas, be sure to check out our Things to Do tab on this site for some local favorites.

What should I wear?

Our wedding will be formal, and we kindly ask guests to dress accordingly. For women, this typically means a floor-length dress, a midi dress, or a dressy pantsuit. For men, a dark suit and tie are appropriate, though a tuxedo is also welcome if you'd like to go all out! Because the ceremony will be a Catholic Mass, we kindly ask that guests choose attire that reflects the reverent setting. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!

Can I bring a guest?

Due to limited capacity at our venue, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on the invitation. If you received a plus-one, it will be indicated on your invite. Thank you so much for understanding!

Are children invited?

We are happy to welcome children to our celebration! Any children who are invited will be listed on the invitation.

Is there a hotel block for guests?

Yes, we have reserved four room blocks for our guests. Please visit the Travel tab on this site for hotel details and booking information.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! We’ll have a full selection of beer, wine, and cocktails for our guests to enjoy.

What time does the reception end?

The evening will wind down around 9:00 PM, and we hope you’ll be on the dance floor with us until the very last song.
